Chairman, Hambro Perks
Rupert Hambro was Chairman of Hambros Bank until 1986 when he left to set up three business under the name J O Hambro, a mergers and acquisitions and investment management business, which were subsequently sold. He now has a start up and advisory business, Hambro Perks, in partnership with Dominic Perks. This business has internally developed and launched 37 start ups in the last 5 years. These include Laundrapp, Tootle, Vida, Seenit and Pi-top.
He is the Chairman of a number of companies and he was previously a Director of the Anglo American Corporation of South Africa, The Daily Telegraph Group and Sedgwick PLC. He is also the Chairman of the Zoological Society of London’s Development and Strategy Board; the Chairman of Trustees of The Silver Trust. He was Chairman of the Museum of London and Chairman of Chiswick House Gardens Trust and a past Prime Warden of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and currently Chairs their Investment Committee.
