Mr. Tim Gocher
Founder & CEO, Dolma Impact Fund
Tim Gocher is a pioneer of impact investment, renewable energy and philanthropy. Tim is founder and CEO of Dolma Impact Fund, the first and largest private equity fund investing in Nepal. The fund generates over 5,000 well paid jobs in countries including Nepal, Kenya and the Dominican Republic through its investments in artificial intelligence, e-commerce, renewable energy and healthcare. He is also the founder of Dolma Himalayan Energy, which develops utility-scale renewable energy in the Himalayas by combining solar PV with battery storage systems, designed to mitigate the glacial melt climate change crisis in the region. He is also founder and Chairman of Dolma Foundation, a UK charity working since 2003 to educate the poorest and most disadvantaged children in Nepal.
Formerly, Tim was an investment executive with a background in renewable energy and technology. He worked at Deloitte Corporate Finance in London, J.P. Morgan in New York and energy giant E.On. As an entrepreneur, he has started and sold two successful technology businesses in the US.
In his academic roles, Tim is Hon. Professor of Sustainable Business at The University of Nottingham Malaysia and Guest Lecturer at London Business School where he gained his MBA. He holds an honorary doctorate from The University of Nottingham.
