Jen Bawden is a best-selling author, speaker, philanthropist, impact investor and serial entrepreneur with a decade of experience in Homeland Security technology solutions. Jen co-founded, invested in and helped build a Dept. of energy Homeland Security Anti-Terrorism Technology company, co-founded by the U.S. DOE, and funded by DNDO (Domestic Nuclear Detection Office) to develop and deploy technologies to protect global infrastructure from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear attack. The company's award-winning sensor technology was built to protect seaports, borders and critical infrastructure. Jen is currently working on next-generation, high capacity, environmentally friendly batteries that last for 40+ years and charge in minutes with energy density 4x lithium. She is a former advisory board member of an oncology company that won the prestigious Frost & Sullivan award for best pancreatic cancer diagnosis and treatment company. Under the patronage of Governor Pataki Jen was the co-founder and co-chairman of the Metropolitan Foundation Celebrity Gala for over 13 years, raising funds for breast cancer research and Robert Kennedy’s charity River Keeper. She was the co-chairman of a number of New York City’s most prestigious charities.
